06 Oct Styling the bump (vol.I)
When you arrive at this certain point that you need to style the bump…this month I realised that there is no other way, its time to style it!! If you have been pregnant you certainly understand that at the third semester of pregnancy you have to come up with clever solutions in order to remain stylish and this is the reason I decided to do a series of “Style the Bump” posts.
Mainly, there are two ways to do it. The first one is to wear loose tops and tunics over pants or leggings. The second one is to wear stretch dresses or tops that highlight your bump and your new figure in general. The choice depends entirely on your mood. I have tried both and in next posts I will present you more maternity looks!
This time for a dinner out I chose a rather safe outfit – stretch purple pants and loose pink tunic. The only thing you can play with in this kind of styling is the colors. And, yes!, this garish color pairing updates the whole outfit. Color pairing is a hot trend for SS17 as seen in many catwalks during fashion weeks. Check out one of my favorite collections – Balenciaga SS17 – and its fashion forward nostalgia! Not to mention that I hit the same color pairing…
Last but not least, even if when you expect you end up to wear what is left in your wardrobe….fashion accessories make the difference! You can never go wrong with jewelry pieces that draw the attention from your bump! I fell in love with the statement gold Oscar de la Renta earrings from its current collection…
